Caldera de Taburiente

8km-diameter volcanic caldera forming the heart of the National Park. Inside, a crystal-clear stream winds between volcanic boulders beneath rock walls up to 2,000 metres high. Waterfalls like the Cascada de Colores — with mineral deposits that stain the rock red, green and yellow — create unique settings. Dark canyons, calm pools reflecting the mountains and Canarian pine forest complete a landscape that works for adventure, epic fantasy or intimate drama. Part of the Caldera de Taburiente National Park: filming permits are extremely difficult to obtain and drone use is strictly prohibited.
